Recognizing the urgency and severity of the challenges faced by humanity, GCSRF acts as a strong voice and a partner in raising awareness, sharing best practices, and inspiring participation to achieve real change.<\/p>\n<p>We are engaged in three core areas,<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>education and training programs on CSR and SDGs,<\/li>\n<li>strategic planning and execution of customized CSR+SDG programs, as well as<\/li>\n<li>impact investing and social entrepreneurship in line with the UN\u2019s SDGs.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>GCSRF\u2019s Board, Executive Committees and think tank advisors are comprised of political and business leaders and seasoned practitioners..<\/p>\n\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t<\/div>\n<div class=\"vc_empty_space\"   style=\"height: 32px\" ><span class=\"vc_empty_space_inner\"><\/span><\/div>\n<h2 class=\"vcex-module vcex-heading vcex-heading-bottom-border-w-color\" style=\"font-weight:600;text-align:center;\"><span class=\"vcex-heading-inner clr\">Background<\/span><\/h2><div class=\"vc_empty_space\"   style=\"height: 32px\" ><span class=\"vc_empty_space_inner\"><\/span><\/div>\n\n\t<div style=\"color:#000000;font-size:18px;\" class=\"wpb_text_column has-custom-color wpb_content_element \" >\n\t\t<div class=\"wpb_wrapper\">\n\t\t\t<p>In 2012, the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) were born at the United Nations Conference on Sustainable Development in Rio de Janeiro. The objective was to produce a set of universal goals that met the urgent environmental, political and economic challenges facing our world.<\/p>\n<p>The SDGs are unique in that they cover issues that affect everyone. They reaffirm an international commitment to end poverty, permanently, everywhere. They are ambitious in making sure no one is left behind.
